Herbs

Although the use of herbs for animals and humans has become much more fashionable in recent years, I have to admit to always having been fascinated by the various uses and health-related properties of herbs - for both humans and animals. I also find it quite astonishing how little most people know about these amazing plants and how sceptical/cynical they remain - in large part due to their ignorance.
Whether we realise it or not, herbs already play a huge part in our everyday lives - be they the spices in our kitchen, the vegetables in our salads, the dyes in our clothes or plants (weeds) in our garden.

Historically the most important uses of herbs were health-related. Whatever else men may have done to themselves and to each other in the name of 'good health' at various times, plants were the basic source of health products for professional and folk preparations from the earliest days until the twenty-first century. .
Old herbal knowledge and ways have largely been replaced by 'modern' ideas and techniques: natural products by synthetic supplements, natural foods by process convenience products, plants, and dyes and colourings by chemical substitutes

As the excess of the 'modern' philosophy of waste become apparent, we are looking back and finding that perhaps there is something worth saving in those 'outdated' ideas after all and that there is room for herbalism, homeopathy, surgery, acupuncture, physiotherapy, manipulation, and such like.

Over the last couple of years I have been fortunate to be able to work with one of the country's top herbalists and based on feedback from dog owners, we believe there is a real need for the following herbal preparations, 'Come On!', 'Calm Down!', 'Get Over!', 'Heal!', 'Eezy Peezy!', 'Steady!' and 'Go On!'.

How do you use CSJ Working Herbs?
Full feeding instructions are given on the pots but generally you add one scoopful (scoop supplied with pot) of the CSJ Herbal Mix to your dog's food every day. Personally, I add a little warm/cold water to the CSJ food just before sprinkling the herbs on top. Positive results should be seen within 10 - 14 days ('Heal!' can sometimes be seen to have an immediate effect).
How long should I use the Herbs?
All our herbal blends can be used safely for long periods but we would recommend a break of around a week every six months.
How long will a pot last?
A 200gm pot should last approximately three months for an average size dog.
